Living Room

Overhead lighting/ a fan is a MUST, especially in the living room. When we moved in, there was no overhead lighting at all in the living room or bedrooms, so we had to use lamps for everything. We installed fans in each of these rooms and can't believe the difference it has made! The living room (and majority of the house) is painted "Universal Grey" with new carpet. The windows have wood slat blinds.

Built in desk and shelving. This is desk area is very unique to our unit. This area is a coat closet in many town homes. However because of the convenient parking right outside our kitchen door, our front door (located to the right of this closet) is very rarely used. We come in and out through our kitchen doors, and take our shoes and coats off there rather than having to track mud and dirt onto our newly carpeted living room. It has been so nice to have a desk area and a place to home our computer/printer/documents/office supplies.
